Mayfield-Primary-School

Winter Fair - a great success!

It felt like the first day of the sales on Friday as everyone packed in to the school hall to join in the festive fun.  Seasonal cheer was much in evidence as members of staff and the Friends of Mayfield ran stalls and stands making a record-breaking £700 +!!

Father Christmas was kept very busy in his magical Grotto, we're very grateful he could find the time to visit us and see so many children!  Thank you Santa!

Delicious cakes and biscuits were on sale (thank you to everyone who baked, brought and bought).   Mr Brown was busy with Mystery Boxes and Mr Fear too.  Mrs Ewart was on the Lucky Dip stand and Ms Dobson was rushed off her feet making badges.  Ms John rolled her sleeves up and helped serve refreshments along side our wonderful Friends of Mayfield volunteers.

The Year 6 children and parents were doing a roaring trade raising money for the year book selling cakes and decorations.

We had fabulous face-painting by parents and friends (take a look at the pictures above!) amongst lots of other things.

We are so grateful to the parents and volunteers who helped make the event so successful. A huge thank you as always to Jackie Costello for all of the brilliant work she does in organising and running the FoM events.
